Almost impossible to easily insert knives and forks into holder w/o having them slide out the sides of the holder.

We received as gift and absolutely love this item but since receiving at Christmas, it is showing mold. It worked well for a couple months but now looking for a solution. We dont let water sit on it so don't understand why the issue. Great concept tho.
