Founders, here! If you don't know by now, we're the faces behind Dorai, Kelsey, and Jason. This year has thrown quite a few curveballs our way, one of the most significant being the postponement of our wedding that was set to occur this past May. Similar to many other engaged couples it's been difficult to reside in a state of limbo, but we're optimistic we'll be able to go through with our small celebration in October.
This summer in our attempt to keep the momentum going and our spirits up, we got together with family to put our mixology skills to the test. Given Jason's love of tequila and Kelsey's affinity for sparkling citrus beverages, it was love at first sip! Read on to discover our wedding cocktail recipe and prepare to be refreshed in your kitchen.
We want to celebrate something, so we're going to recreate our wedding drink at home and we invite you to do the same. We used the "Sparkling Paloma Cocktail Recipe" from Love & Lemons, and gave it our own personal spin! This drink could easily be made without the alcohol and taste just as good!
¾ cup fresh grapefruit juice, plus extra wedges for garnish
3 tablespoon fresh-squeezed lime juice
2 tablespoons agave nectar
¾ cup tequila
¾ cup Grapefruit Spindrift
Orchid Flower Garnish
- Stir together the grapefruit juice, lime juice, agave nectar, tequila, and sparkling water. Adjust sweetness and tartness to your liking!
- Pour into glasses filled with ice. Garnish with grapefruit wedges and an orchid.
