Kelsey’s 5 Favorite Things for Fall

This past week the weather finally cooled down in Utah and we were able to shamelessly add pumpkin spice creamer to our coffee while sporting our favorite crew neck sweatshirts (see our pumpkin spice recommendation below). As Jason will tell you, I’m not the best when it comes to deviating from my beloved routines and structure, but the change of seasons gets me excited to try new recipes and break out seasonal favorites.

The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid Serum

With cooler temps comes exceptionally dry skin, and The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid Serum is the perfect blend of hydration without feeling oily. I use this nightly and have no qualms about slathering it on because the price point and ingredients are both stellar.

Delicious Homemade PSL with Superior Ingredients

Don’t deprive yourself of indulging in the classic Pumpkin Spice Latte from the coffee shop, but the ingredients and price point make it a bit tough to stomach on the daily. We frequent our local Dutch Bros at least once a weekend, but during the weekdays, I love a large cup of coffee mixed with Laird’s Pumpkin Spice Superfood Creamer. We recently discovered Oat-Based Whipped Topping to layer on top of coffee with a dash of cinnamon. It’s fall perfection from your kitchen!

Bissell PowerFresh Steamer Cleaner

Fall brings more dried leaves and rain, which in our household means more muddy paws! I recently discovered the amazing non-toxic cleaning power of floor steamers. This Bissell Steamer is so much more effective than my previous Swiffer and requires nothing more than distilled water. I prefer to use a mixture of water and Biokleen multi-surface floor cleaner in a spray bottle to wet the floor for a few minutes before going over it with the steamer. It’s an amazing combo and when finished you can throw the mopping rags into the washing machine for a zero waste solution.

Beam Dream Powder

The past few months have been exceptionally busy with work and gearing up for a marathon in early October. Rest and recovery are more important than ever. Since I track my sleep with a WHOOP, I’m able to see the impact of stress, workouts, and bedtime routines have on my quality of sleep. I’ve become a little lax with the evening wind-down session and Beam Dream Powder has been very helpful to improve my quality of sleep and recovery score, even while juggling all life has thrown at me.

2 Ingredient Laundry Spray

I was frequently using essential oils on wool balls with any items in the dryer, but I tend to hang dry the majority of my clothing to extend the life of the fabric. I use a combo of lemon and mandarin oils for laundry because I love the freshness citrus brings. I wanted this same natural scent on the hang dried items so I mixed together about 10-15 drops of each oil and filled the rest with water in a small bottle, and have been using it to spray all freshly washed clothes. It’s a chemical-free and extremely budget-friendly way to keep your clothes (especially the workout items) smelling fresh.
