A large drying mat should be washed regularly. It ultimately depends on usage, but we recommend cleaning it at least once a week. Since they’re made from diatomaceous earth, our mats are quick-drying, which ensures that you can keep them free from bacteria and odors with minimal effort.

In the event that your mat gets stained, it can be cleaned in two ways. For light stains or scuffs, use the included sand paper to gently rub off any marks. We absolutely love how quick drying this mat is. We are a family of 4 trying to live sustainably. We hand wash a lot of our dish ware and have run into mold issues as we live in the PNW. This mat drys super quickly and is also a very sleek sustainable option. We love it!
